LA Road Trip 2019

Every year I make a trip to the LA Auto Show, specifically to attend a Porsche preview of their “booth” or a large setup they put on. An amazing setup and secluded from the rest of the brands. This year my IG Car buddy Ingo Renner signed up to drive his 997 and I took my 991.

On Thursday November 21, we met up at Manresa bread for a quick Coffee and off we went on Highway 1 all the way down to LA. It took us north of 9 hours, despite my best efforts to reduce the time…

We stopped at Pismo Beach for photos and Tacos.

Off we go Friday morning. Early registration. A great day is ahead of us.

The car of the show: Porsche Taycan 4S, Turbo and Turbo S

Aside from the Taycan, the 992, Cayenne Coupe, Spyder 718 and GT4 among the cars being showed

The master of the track: Porsche 911 RSR. This event allowed us to get into the RSR. When would I be able to do so elsewhere???

And then we headed out to see the rest of the LAAS and the ladies. Yes, the ladies.

A late drive to NewCombs Ranch with our buddy Stephen K. Founder of Roadstr.io

After dropping of Mr. Stephen K. at LAX I got to see the AA airliner drive by above the freeway. Later Ingo setup a meetup with Amer from @PTS_RS great guy. Gave me more ideas on how to reduce the weight of my 991 down to 2875 lbs (Yike$’s)

After the TwoGuns Coffee we headed to PECLA, Roadstr.io original office in Carson, CA. We had lunch arrangements with views of the track. Afterwards we took some shots in front and at the top of the viewing terrace at the back of PECLA.

After PECLA we headed to Palos Verdes, CA for a sunset photo session.

Next day we headed back early on 101, took us a good 7 hours with lunch. We ate on a sidewalk in Salinas (El Charrito) I am sure Ingo’s first… A great trip.
