Driving in the Snow like its California
When in Finland, studded tires… at least for the newbies
She arrives…. just as we shipped her…
I exported the Macan to Finland
With all the outlander movement out there I got a roof básquet, added a shovel and an axe. Prepared for any campsite. Not knowing how much I would need the Axe and Shovel, I felt a bit “wannabe” but as soon as we hit the campsite it became obvious these tools are a must. The machete can stay at home…
New way to bond and look at cars. Kiddos and I often head out to get churros from the local shop and then hit a park to enjoy the treats
2020 has some ups and downs, being on the virtual Petersen Concourse was a much needed up. Honored to have participated. See min 45:37
Suncoast Porsche has Originale 1-4 in a PDF format. Enjoy
As the year ends, I find myself grateful for so many things in life. On the car front, there are several things to point out.
Connected beyond cars with people from IG.
Prior bosses got into Porsche (Taycan)
I participated in car shows and concours at the Petersen Automotive Museum
Drive my cars the least, had to get a battery tender, and a new battery for the 986 and plugged in the 912E.
I finally got a slot car set for the “boys” in the house (me included.
And last but not least… I have 3k followers on IG. But I did not post on IG that I did…
See below the Concourse at PAM minute 45.34 I intro my 3 cars.
As I survive during Quarantine 2020 I get distracted by this beauty…
I have a neighbor. An interesting one that is. He has several giant tortoise in his back yard ($100 a piece when babies) and he fishes a lot, not sure where. He used to work for Mercedes back in the day. Or that is the story he has to cover up the Merc 430 SL parked and abandoned on the adjacent lot. Anyway, this guy “Ernie” Brough in a new car, not sure if its a buddy’s car or what, but the car is somewhat of a mating of a Old Merc and a Cheyy chassis + big block & tranny. They call it the BenZilla!
Visited SV Link’s Miguel Angel and we went for some good old Tacos in the middle of Menlo Park. The real Mexican Middle. So good. After our taco feast, we went to see the stable of Tesla’s that power the executives who visit the Bay Area for a chance to invest in a Unicorn, and a for sure well founded education by no-one other than the Valley’s people connected to SV Links. Cars are cars, but the older Porsche Isabella holds her own among all of Elon’s electrons…
GCS is lit TEAL in Vicky’s memory.
I am still mourning. In my own way. She would be telling me to get over it and go do something. So, here is my German Car Stable lit up in TEAL. Just for you Vicky!
Green Beannie - Check! Green Macan - Check! Had a great time at the dealer. We dropped off the Macan (Yogimovil) and had some minutes to spare looking at cars.
Ok so after much IG discussion about Classic Wheels, T-equipment Wheels, PZero or PS4S’s I went with what the car came with. PIRELLI PZERO at 220 squishiness they feel just right for me. I may try the PS4S another time. For now we are back to black baby!
