Mines Road w/ Muiz and his crew.

Met up with some young guys. We drove up Mines Road and it was fun.

Engine Bay 991

You may not see much, but you can feel and hear the beauty of German Engineering on this 400HP 3075lbs City queen.

PapaPatina visits GCS

Mr PapaPatina visits GCS. What a great chat. The moment he got out of the car it was like he was my cousin from another country. In few words he highlighted the differences between Europe and US. Me in front of the car is the “so American” photo, 4 Porsche’s mmmh more of that… but the real kicker was, when I offered to drive any of my cars he said: “ I can replicate driving a car easy, but having a chat with you won’t be as easy” and we sat for at least an hour to talk and discuss, point out issues on my Scarlett, regret changes on his car, explain German laws (i.e. can’t change the steering wheel-WTF?) anyway it was an honor to have this Car & Coffee conversation. I am hopeful we will have more either here in the US or in Germany. Life is to short to drive when you can talk and get to know good people. Thank you my friend.

Frog View

Isabella comes, Isabella goes. Frog like on both ends. The beauty that pulled Porsche out of the ditch. Thank you Isabella!

000 : Badge

Every Quarter I get a nice magazine/book from @000magazine. Not only do you get a large pizza box type package with this art of a magazine, you also get decals for 000, until now after receiving issue 009 I figured the badge look is the way to go.

Vault 000

Air and Water Pre-Luft event had an extra jewel, and to be honest, apart from showing my car, I was very interested in visiting the Vault and more importantly, listen to 000Magazine’s Pete Stout narrate the history of Porsche. One side race cars, the other road cars, both departing from a Gmund cars.

One thing I learned about 956 and 962, is that the side signal tells you which one was driven by drivers with more balls… of or the safer one. Notice how wide the 962 is compared to the 956, the difference is the longer wheelbase which allowed the feet of the driver to be behind the from axle vs 956 drivers feet would be ahead of the axle.

Roadstr Crew

Where to begin. A cryptic message on IG, glad I accepted. I got hooked into Roadstr. Soon we established an unofficial RoadStr office at PECLA , the founders two amazing dudes and through them I have meet many more people, including @christhecarguy and other amazing automobile photographers.

In this photo Chris, Alberto, Stephen and Porscherb.

Drive to Luftgekühlt

I drove Carrera to LA, I was a bit tired and decided to drive on HWY 101 all the way down to LA. I had a couple of stops. A rest shop to shoot a Scale 1:43 - 1:1 , I listed to my favorite podcast P-CarTalk, Spike Car Radio and The Smoking Tire. I got a quick shot of my favorite tree near Santa Barbara and last but not least I stood by Santa Barbara for Coffee at Handlebar Coffee Roasters always a nice stop. I got a couple of shot of Carrera with a backdrop of the Mission.

P-CarTalk

Met the duo from P-CarTalk. Mike and Aaron, great chaps. Very personable and despite my attempt to get them to tell me what Brand P-car people aspire to, Aaron quickly said Ferrari, Mike on the other hand never gave up Porsche and put bespoke Porsche in the lineup, well said Mike.

earlier on 5/1 they posted my questions about: what is the meaning P-Car Life?. Check it out on their P-CarTalk podcast

Air meets Water : Petersen Automotive Museum

I drove all day to get to this event. I was excited to show my car at the Air meets Water event. I arrived early and got a good place to park Carrera, later to find the water cooled area was a bit light on cars. I was proud of my car, yet may car was as typical as any other normal car, the GT3, GT3RS, GT2RS the GT3 Touring (soo many) my simple, humble, 400hp, 3075 lbs narrow body manual speed Carrera was no match, but when asked which one is my favorite, I always pointed to the one I could drive that night! Henry Carwash

Henry Wong stops by GCS to get his car washed. After installing the clear coat we wanted to see how easy the wash would be. Turned out pretty good. Not for my cars, but maybe for my wheels. Despite this being a BMW, we maintained the charter of GCS, German Car Stable.

Black Tail Lights

I put a darker film to cover the taillights. The look is quite interesting. Still figuring out if I will keep the film. If you get close and inspect it, it does not look great. The color does work well. If this does not work, maybe I will go for clear taillights from Porsche. Time will tell.
